WARRANTY

The warranty extended on an item will vary with the item itself.

The most important factor is that warranties, if extended, commence from date of purchase and are return to base .  It is the buyer's responsibility to drop off and pick up from our location and any costs associated with having to do so is to the buyer's care. Our liability is limited to cover only the costs of parts and labor on our premises or on the premises of a third party that has been approved and authorised by us for the period the warranty is extended.

We do not manufacture any components used in assembling PCs or supplied as an individual component. These parts have their individual manufacturer’s warranties associated with them and can range from 7 days to lifetime.

In the event that you encounter a hardware problem , you are to immediately stop using the equipment and report your problem to us to obtain guidance on course of action.

Any attempt to open the case (for any reason) or to repair the item yourself or by any third party without our written consent will void the labor warranty extended but will not necessarily void the respective part’s manufacturer’s warranty, unless the part has been misused/mishandled or breaches the manufacturer's terms of warranty.

Cosmetic issues that occur during use of an item are not covered by warranty.

At no stage are we, nor the manufacturers of respective components, liable for loss of information or interruption to business. Back up systems should be implemented by you and are strongly recommended.

Deluxe PCs & Systems

  • 5 Years labor + 2 years parts warranty on PC

  • 3 Years parts & labor warranty  on the LCD / CRT including onsite pick up

  • 1 Years parts & labor warranty on the Keyboard/Mouse/Speakers/Power supply

Standard PCs & Systems

  • 3 Years labor warranty / 1  years parts warranty on the PC

  • 3 Years parts & labor warranty on the LCD or CRT / 1 year ONSITE +2 years Metro Onsite

  • 1 Years labor warranty / 1 years parts warranty on the Keyboard/Mouse/Speakers/Power supply

PC Upgrade kits

  • Return to base Parts warranty as per manufacturer's warranty of component

Entry Level/Budget PCs & Systems

  • 1 Year labor warranty / 1 year parts warranty

  • 60 day labor warranty / 60 day warranty on the CRT/Keyboard/Mouse/Speakers

  • Case/Power supply limited to 3 months

  • Some items may have parts only warranty

New Parts & Components

  • Manufacturers' warranty  (see exclusions below)

Refurbished PCs / Ex Demo units

  • 30 Day labor warranty / 30 Day parts warranty  (see exclusions below)

Used Laptops

  • 30 Day labor warranty / 30 Day parts warranty for units less than 30 months old (see exclusions below) otherwise DOA warranty applies , unless otherwise advertised or specified

  • Batteries do not carry any warranty. We do not pre-determine the life or duration of batteries only if they hold a charge at the time or not. When they do not hold a charge, we advertise "as is"

Used Items can have:

  • 7/14 Day warranty - meaning tested & working 

  • Non DOA warranty - meaning tested & working & should arrive that way immediate test by buyer

  • As Is - meaning untested or unknown or unable to test (No warranty extended)

Exclusions/Limitations

  • New consumables such as batteries, bulbs, CDs, toner, ink etc. carry minimum or no warranty

  • Software related issues are not covered by warranty

  • Used consumables carry no warranty and are sold as is

  • Mishandling , transit or physical damage is not covered under warranty this is an insurance area

  • Industry standard for LCDs is an allowance up to 7 dead/abnormal pixels

  • Used Notebooks have Non DOA warranty on screens.

  • Used items are expected to have the usual cosmetic marks, cracks, scratches and scuffs

  • Warranties commence from date of purchase/ winning bid
